Our 10 days’ chimpanzee and gorilla habituation takes you to Uganda’s top national parks and here you get the chance to spot as many animals as you can during game drives. We take you to Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district for rhino tracking before proceeding to Murchison falls national park where a magnificent waterfall where the River Nile plunges its way on to a 7 metre gorge. We shall later visit the Mubaku community, in Bullisa district which aims at mainly promoting the conservation and girl child education with their unique way of their culture. We will later visit Kibale national park, a home to the 12 primates and this park is also referred to as the primate capital of the world meaning here you will be able to go for your chimpanzee habituation experience. We will also proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park, where you will be able to look at abundant wildlife and plants as well. Don’t miss out on the Kazinga launch cruise experience where you are given chance to see lots of animals and birds along the shores. You will also visit Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, a home to half of the mountain gorilla population left in the wild where you will be able to go for your gorilla habituation experience

Day 1 : Arrival and transfer to the hotel |

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be met and greeted by Pamoja safaris representative, who will later transfer you to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 2 : Transfer to Murchison Falls |
---|
After early served breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park. En route stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking before proceeding to the park. Access the park through Kichumbanyombo and visit the top of the falls. Later proceed to the booked hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 3 : Game drive and boat cruise |

Early in the morning, go for a game drive in the park and expect to see different animals most especially the early grazers like elephants. You can as well be able to see cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, spotted hyenas, bush pigs and buffaloes among others. Later return to the lodge for late breakfast and relax. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls. The boat stops at approximately 10 meters from the Devils cauldron and this is also a good spot for beautiful pictures. Expect to see different animals like the water bucks, hippos and crocodiles. Different bird species are spotted during the boat cruise and these include the rare shoebill stork. Return to the booked lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay. |
Day 4 : Mubaku Community and later transfer to Kibale |

After early served breakfast, visit the Mubaku community, a program that mainly focuses on conservation and improving the livelihood of the girl child through education, health and sanitation, access to clean water and sustainable development in the Albertine region. Later transfer to Kibale national park and arrive at the booked facility in time for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 5 : Chimpanzee Habituation |

After early served breakfast, we drive to Kanyanchu visitor information center for briefing before entering the forest in search for the chimpanzees. Briefing always gives guidelines about chimpanzee habituation for example the number of people to trek as well as the distance to be away from the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are man’s closest relatives though they are the most threatened primate species. More primates like black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos, and many bird species like the yellow-spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee-eater, and mammals like elephants can be seen during the habituation. This national park which averages about 3,300 feet in elevation is an extension of the great rain forests of central Africa. Return to the hotel for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 6 : Transfer to Queen Elizabeth |

After early served breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. Go for a game drive in the afternoon and later check in at the booked facility for dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 7 : Game drive & Boat cruise |

After early served breakfast, go for a game drive in the park and expect to see animals like elephants, leopards, topis, Uganda kobs, cape buffaloes, waterbucks and giant forest hogs among others. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This 2hour cruise will give you the opportunity to see highest hippopotamus populations and other animals on the lake shores. This cruise provides the best opportunity for taking good photographs. Water animals as well as birds can be seen during this cruise. Return to the booked facility for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 8 : Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi |

After breakfast in the morning, check out of the facility and drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. This journey takes you through the Ishasha sector as you get to enjoy the beautiful views of the national park and expect to see different animals grazing around the parks beautiful vegetation. Arrive at the booked facility in time for afternoon relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. |
Day 9 : Gorilla Habituation Experience |

After early served breakfast, go for briefing at the park headquarters where you will meet guides who will brief you especially on the guidelines of gorilla habituation. Later you enter the forest in search for man’s closest relatives. Coming face to face with the gorillas is one of the most rewarding and thrilling experience and this will leave you with the most precious memories of a life time. Return to the booked facility in time for afternoon relaxation, dinner and overnight stay |
Day 10 : Transfer to Entebbe for departure |

After early served breakfast, check out of the facility and drive to Kampala. En-route stop at the equator in Kayabwe Masaka for lunch and take a group picture at the equator. You can as well participate in the water experiment(optional) at the equator where an imaginary line divides the Northern hemisphere and Southern hemisphere. Later embark on the journey to Kampala and arrive in time for your international departure back home. |
